San Antonio is the city you want to go to if you want to have a lot of varied fun and entertainment in a short time. It offers so much in one place, its hard to not find what you want here. No matter whether you’re going with friends or family, your needs will be covered.

I am not just referring to the best nightlife in the world, or the biggest theme parks, zoos and sea-worlds in the country. I’m also talking about the fine cuisine, shopping and festivals that will blow your mind with diversity and uniqueness.

Let me tell you something. If you tell anyone that you were in San Antonio, the very first question you will get is “So, how did you like the Alamo?” Its (I believe) the single most frequented historical sight in all of the USA. Once you’re done immersing yourself in history, your next step, in my mind, should be the river-walk. You can come here and first take a big walk from start to end, and get to know the place, or just pay one of the water-cabs to give you a ride along the whole thing. Either way, you’ll get to see all of it first. Then, you can go ahead and sit down at whatever cafe caught your glances during your stroll or ride. You could maybe sit down and enjoy some of the cuisine in one of the many restaurants, or do some shopping in the stores. And when all of that is done, and the night comes, get ready for some exciting nightlife and amazing clubs and bars.

In fact, some clubbers come out of the city, on the weekends just for the clubbing experience here! The quality and quantity of clubs here is amazing. And to top it all off… The river walk happens to be surrounded by the best hotels in town. And then, all the other major sights in SA, seem to be within walking distance from the river walk. This is why I’d make the river walk the central point of your stay, because you can use it as your “base”.
